Slumber PARTY!

Uncle Buck was UP to the Farm
and He and I let the many munchkins
have a slumber party up in the
camper...
how exciting RIGHT?
so bright and early
I cooked up some homemade breakfast sandwiches
and wrapped each one in foil
and packed them in grocery bags
to deliver
to the blessings...
when WHAT to our wondering eyes did appear
some cute persons heading down to the house
for the potty
heading back up!
Starting with Little Man...
The Blessings were excited at the prospect of FOOD
eagerly unwrapped their foiled sandwiches
and began to
tell the many tales of
"bumps
sounds
of the night"
It was pure joy hearing the stories,
giggling with them
and wondering with what this or that sound might have been...
wandering back to the General
I notice what a wonderful pile we have made
ready here for the wood chipper
How lovely this clearing is beginning to look..
how I enjoy the little islands
that C.S. has made
and what is this?
pure beauty!
looks a bit like a trumpet..
maybe THAT is what I need  next time
for my
wonderful campers!

What to do when cooling off the cookies

Princess is in her bliss...
she LOVES the kitchen as MUCH as I do..
is it PERFECTLY complete yet?
no ..but
cooking
and
Baking
are such a dream in here!
sometimes I like to just GIVE her some space...
she loves to bake
and I don't think she needs ME hovering..
Princess is growing into her own..
and needs to feel like this is OUR Kitchen..
I want to be old an grey putzing about HER kitchen one day
and not get shooo-ed out
so.. I just let her go free in there..
On this particular day
because the boys were here,
and she knows what we have planned for
after the assembly projects..
She has chosen a quick baking project!
Pamela's to the rescue...
Because MY blessings have allergies
we use this sort of mix when we aren't making from scratch..
Gluten free!
and instead of REAL beautiful vibrant butter
she is using Earths Balance Red Label
soy free, casein free, gluten free..
ya.. i know ..
WHAT is in it?
it is wonderful and it works for my lads..
some of us can eat butter
and DO!
but since this is a treat that they WILL love..
we must choose the Earth Balance Red Label
whilst all this is going on
Tante G and me (ha that rhymed!)
get the lads all ready..
Machine Man and C.S. have completed their work
cookies are cooling
and we are OFF on a great adventure!
General Sherman has brought us deep into the woods...
and now it's time to HIKE!
HOW Tante G does this is beyond me..
I can only do this move IN a pool..
I am NOT in the shape she is in..
CLEARLY
The wee hunters are hiking hard..
Princess attempting to lead the pack..
LOOK!!
Bubbles
(it's like a tourist attraction around here)
We all need to touch them
but
it can be a little freaky..
Princess
seems to be the designated bubble guide
encouraging our cousins on...
look what I found!
more berries
some milk weed...
a fun guy
oops
i mean
some fungi
more,
of a different kind
sweet, delicate, & pretty
black berries to be..
soon
(pinch me excited!)
here they come
yep all of them..
and by NOW
I am told...
those cookies just HAVE to be cooled off!!!
what a great hike!

they ARE here!

this...
a gift for me
the Tante
from my sweet niece Ina..
isn't it beautiful!
Ina is just a smidge younger than Buddy and they are
SUPER pals!
Tenderfoot, her brother is going to start middle school in the fall
These cousins ALL get along so wonderfully,
we are all so excited to have them here!
First adventure is taking
them out in the General
to see how the spring is doing..
it's a little bigger, but still bubbling!
Anyone like Ina's hair?
I got the HONOR of brushing it, and putting it in the braid..
Ooo I could squeeze her all day!
she LET me play with her hair!
Little Man is in a very happy place right now..
having Uncle and Cousins here is SO fun!
an she's off to explore!

A wee garden project

The very first assignment I had was for the gang
to go to far end of the property
where the richest blackest soil we have lives...
and get me some..
This is it, and boy did they all have fun getting it...
next I need them to load up some of my brick
that brick we found hiding in the grass..
then Princess got to work
We had a little problem area
where the water rushes through
and we loose soil..
we also have chives here
and there
and well.
it would be nice if they were all in about the same place
see.. aren't they pretty?
we will transplant all those not in this zone,
and bring them together..
but only after Princess lays the brick around to be just
a wee bit of a border..
she did it on her own
and then she added that dirt
it sure looks good to me..
soon we should have chives galore!
and the soil should mostly stay put..
I confess
I actually LOVE the look of the brick there..
I wonder if we ought not continue with it beyond this section..
either way
BRILLIANT work Princess!

Machine Man brings General Sherman home...

THAT super cool RED trailer
is
NOT
mine
Machine Man borrowed it..
HE had to
to bring the latest exciting addition to the FARM!
Machine Man was away all week from his Blessings
and from ME
and from Blessings Farm..
doing what he does so well..
being
MACHINE MAN!
He did a lot of research
hunted online for a great price
and found one..
and it wasn't very close..
it WAS a very long drive away..
and now..
for the introductions...

Meet the General
General Sherman that is...
This thing is like a tank
but really
it's a practical UTV
and we are SUPER excited about it!
beaming with the thrill of it !
and of having her Papa home!
Check out THIS hitch...
quite the
...
 thing
don't you think?
Heaven!
They are in HEAVEN!
